Powder buys you tolerance, not immunity
Lyophilized peptide is far more robust in transit than solution, and short excursions to ambient temperature during shipping are generally well tolerated for most sequences. That is why the industry ships powder.
Tolerance is not immunity. Cumulative thermal exposure across a long route still matters, and cycling in and out of heat is worse than a single steady excursion.
What good shipping controls
Insulated packaging with a coolant appropriate to the route, sealed vials protected from moisture ingress, physical protection against breakage, and above all short transit times.
Speed is the most underrated control in the chain. Novanta ships domestically from the United States, with most orders leaving the facility within 2–24 hours.
On arrival
Inspect for damage, confirm the lot numbers match the paperwork, and move the vials into cold storage promptly. Record the arrival condition — that note is what lets you interpret an anomalous result three months later.
