Molecular overview
Novanta’s Wolverine research material contains two separately defined peptides: BPC-157 and TB-500. The name “Wolverine” is a market convention rather than a scientific name, and it should not be used to infer a shared mechanism or a studied fixed-dose combination.
BPC-157 is a synthetic 15-residue peptide derived from a gastric protein fragment. TB-500 is a research-market name associated with thymosin beta-4 sequences or fragments; published thymosin beta-4 findings do not automatically describe every material sold under the TB-500 name.
Research pathways
BPC-157 studies in cell and rodent models have examined VEGFR2–Akt–eNOS signaling, nitric-oxide pathways and fibroblast behavior. Thymosin beta-4 research centers on G-actin binding, cytoskeletal remodeling and cell migration.
These are separate mechanistic lines of inquiry. A response observed for either component alone cannot establish the behavior, safety or efficacy of the combined research material.
Published-research summary
The BPC-157 literature is predominantly preclinical and is concentrated among a limited number of research groups. Thymosin beta-4 has a broader literature, including animal models and limited early clinical exploration, but much of that work examines full-length thymosin beta-4 rather than a commercial TB-500 fragment.
No direct combination study was located. The scientifically responsible interpretation is therefore component-specific, with no claim that combining the two reproduces or amplifies an outcome reported for either one.
Analytical testing methodology
A blend requires identity and composition controls for both components. The linked Novanta lot report records chromatographic purity for the tested material; HPLC separates the principal peptide peaks, while mass-spectrometric identity testing is the appropriate complementary method for checking molecular mass.
A purity percentage does not establish biological activity, sterility, clinical safety or suitability for human use.
Storage and stability
Peptide stability is sequence-, formulation- and solution-dependent. Keep lyophilized research material sealed, dry, protected from light and under the storage conditions on its lot documentation. Once prepared for an experimental protocol, use a validated laboratory stability window rather than assuming that general peptide guidance applies to both components equally.

TB-500 and Thymosin Beta-4: What the Research Describes
TB-500 is a fragment, not the full protein. The distinction matters for how the published thymosin beta-4 literature should be read.
